A new sponsor made its debut at Daytona this year; The B+ Foundation. The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation honors the memory of Andrew McDonough. The B+ Foundation provides financial assistance to families of critically ill children with cancer. After racing together in a selection of Continental Challenge races last year to learn the tracks and accumulate sports car racing experience, Al Carter has selected Hugh Plumb to co-drive again with him this season. Carter and Plumb have great expectations for this B+ Racing program and the goal to finish in the top-five of the 2011 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. Al Carter and Hugh Plumb drive the No. 45 B+ Racing Fall-Line Motorsports BMW M3. Carter is a two-time Skip Barber Series Masters Champion (2008, 2009) and debuted in the Continental Challenge last year. Plumb was the 2006 GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Street Tuner Championship runner-up with his brother Matt Plumb and 2003 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series GT Championship runner-up. Hugh and Al hope to score their first championship title in the GS class with their Fall-Line Motorsports E92 M3. They joined one of the best teams for their 2011 ambitious program. Fall-Line Motorsports returns to the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge GS Class to defend their 2010 Driver and Team Championship Titles. Following their victory season, Fall-Line will campaign three BMW E92 M3s. Fall-Line’s goal is to field the absolute best prepared BMW cars with quality drivers and to be consistent front runners.
